세계도시게임(World Urban Games)란?

세계 도시 게임은 신세대 스포츠를 특징으로하는 5 일간의 축하 행사이며, 지구상에서 가장 성공적이고 영감을주는 도시 운동 선수, 라이더 및 브레이크 댄서의 기술, 스타일 및 힘을 보여주는 종합대회다. 이 행사는 경쟁 프로그램을 구성하고 청소년 중심의 음악, 예술 및 문화 축제를 보완하는 도시 스포츠를 선보이며이 게임에는 독창적이며 포용적이고 축제 분위기가 풍긴다. 제안 된 스포츠 프로그램은 오늘 GAISF 이사회에서 승인 한 7 가지 기준을 충족하는 올림픽 및 비 올림픽 스포츠에서 최대 14 개 분야를 포함하게 된다. 대회 프로그램에 참가할 수있는 분야에 대한 검토가 진행 중이며, 관련 국제 연맹의 감독하에 선수들은 획기적인 행사에서 경쟁 할 것이다. 지금까지 가능한 농구 3x3 농구, BMX 자유형 자전거, 브레이크 댄스, 볼더 스포츠 클라이밍, 자유형 비행 디스크, 파 쿠르, 롤러 프리 스타일, 인라인 프리 스타일 및 스케이트 보드가 있다. 최종 프로그램은 당연히 승인을 받기 위해 제안 될 것이며, 학과목은 개최 도시 및 모든 이해 관계자와상의하여 모든 자격있는 분야 중에서 선택 될 것이다. 

The World Urban Games will be a downtown, five-day celebration featuring a new-generation of sports and a showcase for the skill, style and power of the most successful and inspirational urban athletes, riders and breakdancers on the planet, it is claimed.  The event is set to comprise a programme of competition and showcase urban sports complimented by a festival of youth-focused music, art and culture giving the Games a unique inclusive and festive atmosphere. The proposed sports programme would include up to 14 disciplines in Olympic and non-Olympic sports meeting seven criteria approved by the GAISF Council today. A review of the disciplines eligible for the competition programme is underway and, under the supervision of the relevant International Federations, athletes will compete in breakthrough events. So far, potential eligible disciplines are 3x3 basketball, BMX freestyle cycling, break dancing, boulder sports climbing, freestyle flying disc, parkour, roller freestyle, in-line freestyle and skateboard.
